I see a thread a day about someone killing someones dread, or someone killing someones carrier. Most of thes e threads amount to pirates, or anti-pirates, in bigger groups than we had last night killing a capital, without having capitals themselves.

Again, I'm not trying to be "cool." I am trying to point out the inconsistent behavior between my thread, and the other threads about similar topics.

Number one, there is a much more positive reaction to other threads than there was to mine. I wonder why?

Number two, I'll say it again, it is interesting that this thread started with "proof or stfu," and then graduated to "big deal" when the proof arrived.

Whilst this flamefest is amusing and all, the OP and my previous post actually illustrate (at least imo) an unpleasant side-effect of the kali capital hit point boost, and that is that capital ship pilots now have plenty of time to self-destruct if they're not being taken apart by a massive gank squad. I don't particularly care about not getting the kill mail, but it is a bit annoying to be deprived of the loot from the kill as capitals are often fitted rather nicely (for those who don't know, only ammo/drones/fighters are left in the wreck when you successfully self-destruct).

I'd prefer if self-destructing either voided one's insurance, or took five minutes rather than two when one is trying to do it to a capital ship, personally. I can recall three capital ships that have self-destructed rather than let us get their loot since Kali hit, and that's a trend that'll probably increase.
